I have recently done an worksheet on using place value to multiply. 

 This is a new skill that I have inherited, some of the questions are: 33 x 5 = 165, here is how I did it, 

30 x 5 = 150, 3 x 5 = 15,   15 + 150 = 165.

Here is another example: 42 x 7 = 294, here is how I did it,

 40 x 7 =280,  2 x 7 = 14,   280 + 14 = 294.

I did well in thus worksheet.

I got 22/22
